We are committed to conduct business in an environmentally responsible manner and to provide sound environmental stewardship throughout the value chain by continuously seeking to reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, water consumption, and waste.

In 2025, the Fuji Oil Group formulated it's Environmental Vision 2030/2050 and committed to:

  • Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission Reduction Target (Base Year: FY2020)
    FY 2030:   Scope 1+22 Total GHG emissions        42% reduction(b)
          Scope 3 (Category 1)3 Total GHG emissions  25% reduction(b)
          Total emissions of FLAG4 GHG        30.3% reduction(a)
    FY 2050:   Total scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions      Net zero(a)
  • Water consumption reduction target (base year: 2020)
FY 2030: Reduce water use volume per production volume by 20%(b)
  • Waste reduction target (base year: FY2016)
FY2030: Reduce waste volume per production volume by 10%

(a) New target
(b) Revised target

  1. Science-based target set by Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) for limiting global mean temperature increases to 1.5°C over pre-industrial levels
  2. Scope 1: Direct emissions from sources that an organization owns or controls
Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, steam, heat, or cooling
  3. Scope 3: All other indirect emissions, including emissions from the extraction and production of purchased materials and fuels, Category 1 is indirect emissions from purchased products and services.
  4. FLAG (Forest, Land and Agriculture) Refers to the sector related to land use. FLAG emissions represent the combined greenhouse gas emissions of land-use change, land management and carbon removal.
