Robert WeidnerShaurya Sarkar, Director Cocoa, Blommer Chocolate Company

Shaurya joined Blommer Chocolate Company in November 2017 as the Director of Cocoa. Shaurya brings extensive experience in: Agri-Commodity Supply Chain; Origination Strategies; Cocoa Processing; International Logistics; Risk Management Strategies; Inventory and Process Management; Good Manufacturing Practices; as well as handling various types of Certifications. Prior to joining Blommer, Shaurya worked for Olam International, for 7 years, In his most recent role, he served as the General Manager for its Ivorian Cocoa Processing Business, and before that as Engineering Manager in ITC Ltd in Tobacco Processing for 3 years. Shaurya oversees Blommer’s Global Procurement of Cocoa Beans and Cocoa Liquor for Blommer. Shaurya holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, and a MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Indian School of Business.

Robert WeidnerScott Amoye, Vice President Commodity Procurement and Risk Management

Scott joined Blommer in April 2017. Prior to Joining Blommer , Scott served in senior Procurement, Trading, Sales and Risk Management roles at Guittard Chocolate, ECOM Agrotrade, Mondelez International, E D & F Man and Cargill. He previously served as Head of Americas Trading at E D & F Man Cocoa; Global Head of Cocoa Bean Trading at ECOM; VP Commodities at Cadbury and Senior Director Cocoa and Coffee at Kraft/Mondelez. Scott is responsible for commodity risk Management and procurement He also has P&L responsibility for Blommer’s cocoa pressing business. Scott has an MBA in Finance and International Business from Fordham University and an Undergraduate degree in Government and International Relations from Hamilton College

Jeff Rasinski Jeff Rasinski, Senior Analyst Sugar and Energy

Jeff has over 20 years’ of experience in commodity trading and procurement, including work with Mars Snackfoods USA, Nestle/Dreyers. Jeff has direct purchasing responsibilities for: Sugar and Sweeteners, Energy: electricity and natural gas. Jeff is also engaged in crop and market analysis in Sugar and Energy.

Karl WalkKarl (Kip) Walk, Corporate Director, Sustainability

Kip Walk has been active in the cocoa industry for more than 30 years, working in many segments of the industry including sales, logistics, quality control, futures trading and commodity procurement. He is currently Blommer’s Corporate Director, Sustainability, managing the company’s sustainability efforts from supply chain challenges through to systems for reducing energy usage and Blommer’s carbon footprint. Kip has had the honor serving as Chairman of the Board of Cocoa Graders for ICE Futures U.S, the National Confectioners Association’s Cocoa and Chocolate Regulatory Committee, and the industry’s leading sustainability organization, the World Cocoa Foundation. Currently, Kip is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Cocoa Merchants Association of America.

Sheila FortuneSheila Fortune, Manager of Commodity Hedging

Shelia manages of futures structure book for Blommer. In addition, Sheila oversees technical and chart analysis and the determination of chart points to aid customers in their buying decisions. She has over 25 years of experience in the cocoa community, many with large Wall Street firms. She has been responsible for institutional trading, futures trading, technical analysis and arbitrage trading for high end chocolate manufacturers and trade houses. She also currently serves on the Contract Committee for the CMAA (Cocoa Merchants Association of America) and holds a Series 3 Commodity license, Series 7, 63 and 65 stock/equity licenses.

Robert WeidnerAndy Laudermilch, Commodity Analyst

Andy joined the Blommer commodity team in March 2014 assuming the role of Commodity Analyst. He will responsible for procurement and market analysis of tropical oils and raw material categories including: polyols, lecithin, corn derived starches and other ingredients. He is a Penn State graduate, with a major in Agribusiness Management and a minor in Economics. Previously working for Ecoval Dairy Trade/Louis Dreyfus Commodities Dairy Platform, Andy brings Blommer dairy commodity experience including global trade, risk management and international logistics.
